Texas A&M Aggies vs Clemson Tigers Predictions

CU's super star soph Trevor Lawrence (168 YP, 2 ints. vs. Georgia Tech) surely shakes off corrosion here, yet doubt RB Travis Etienne (career-best 205 YR vs. Jackets) runs wild vs. A&M's stout front 7 (3rd vs. run LY). If Aggies' excellent QB Kellen Mond comes close to LY's outing, when he threw for 430 in 28-26 loss in College Station, aims help Jimbo Fisher, that's 6-0 vs. spread vs. non-SEC opponents as A&M HC. A&M secondary obtained required confidence after selecting off 4 passes vs. Texas State after a plain 7 all of LY. (evaluation provided by The Gold Sheet).

With all the talk about questions along Clemson’s DL, I’m Not sure how A&M is going to stop Clemson’s Offense.

  2. Anu Naga

Trevor did not start this game last year. Kelly Bryant started....and it was not his first start. Get your facts right.....

      Thank you!
I personally don't think Ralph gets enough credit. The guy has numbers for days!

  3. Anoop Jethwa

The most unprofessional video done by these people for a while. Sounded like a couple of drunkards at a bar trying to figure out whose round it is

  4. ScootMagoot46

Where are these Mond mistakes? Mond could struggle at times but he didn't throw a lot of interceptions or anything.

    • Sports Betting Education

Mond looked great last week. That O Line worried me considering the level of Texas State's defense versus Clemson's.

Teddy in one of your other videos you said something like you can’t look at last weeks game. It over time to look ahead but here you are looking at last year’s game. I’m soooo confused

Some key points people don’t mention.

    1. Trevor only played like three series

    2. Travis only had 8 carries

    3. Lets be honest.... a lot of those completed passes went right through Clemson defenders hands and Mond got VERY lucky on a lot of those throws.

    4. I think a lot of people want to believe Clemson’s defense is the weakness but they have been tested up the middle all game against GT and did fine.

    5. A&M has a good running back not an elite running back.

    6. Clemson now has bulletin board material thanks to the Aggies.

I think Clemson surprises everyone with a smack down because of the smack talk from A&M. Don’t be surprised if the tigers win by 28.

Love you guys, but the description of last years match up in this video was super inaccurate. Kelly Bryant was Clemson's QB last year going into this game. Lawrence got to split drives with him and ultimately finished the game for Clemson, but Lawrence was playing pretty conservative just knowing if he had one bad drive that Bryant would go in there. A&M actually should have won that game. The big concern here for A&M shouldn't be Mond making mistakes. Mond has been the top QB in his class since leaving Regean HS in San Antonio for IMG, and he played great last week. What is concerning is the fact Texas State's defense was able to penetrate A&M's O Line so easily last week. Clemson's defense is going to put so much pressure on Mond every time he drops back.

@Professor Rufus Alexander Check my page out. I bet on A&M -33 week one. I'm a sports bettor. I don't carry biases. I root for the team that's making me money that day.

    • Professor Rufus Alexander

@Sports Betting Education it sounds like you have a biased conclusion about the Aggies and you want the facts to fit when they don't. I'd be wary of strong dislike for a team when betting, that can get you in as much trouble as being a fan. I'm telling you the facts bc that's what they are. Not saying the Aggies will win but I think they'll keep it closer than the line indicates. I also think they have a real shot at an upset, but I wouldn't put money on it head-up.

    • Professor Rufus Alexander

@Sports Betting Education I'd hardly call it a fail. There were no sacks. No forced fumbles. Hell I don't even think they had a tackle for loss. So, there were like 4 or 5 hurries...go back and look at them. I already have. You'll see it was the RB not picking up the right guy based off the protection scheme for that play or else the tackle went inside and you had tackle + guard blocking the same dude and that frees someone up. They weren't getting much push or setting the edge. You'll see those issues fixed this weekend I expect.

    • Sports Betting Education

Professor Rufus Alexander well communication gets 1000X more difficult against Clemson in their house. Are you a sports bettor or just a fan? It sounds like you just a delusional Aggie. Y’all are the craziest with your stances lol.

    • Professor Rufus Alexander

@Sports Betting Education I know it was communication issues. I'm not talking about due to crowd noise, I'm talking about a first time starter at RB failing to pick up the OLB or DE bc they either misread when the tackle tapped on his butt to let him know which guy he was blocking or else the tackle forgot to tell him. Hard to say whose fault it was, but it's normal first game stuff especially when you have new guys in there. Hardly the end of the world. They didn't have any sacks, you're making it sound like our OL was dominated. There were about 4 or 5 hits or hurries on Mond. (Which is 4 or 5 too many) Those are very fixable issues. I'd be a lot more worried if our guys were getting bull rushed or run around but that wasn't the case if you watch the tape. On the few plays where protection broke down, you had two guys blocking one guy and another guy with a free lane.

1- Clemson had all 4 DL drafted. 3 in the first round.
2- Everyone on the DL this year has played last year and all are 5 star recruits.
3- The GT game last year has nothing to do with this year. The tigers played all 72 players on the travel squad last year. This year 88 players played in that game.
4- I believe Mond will be improved , but is it enough? He still shows an issue with his reads and improvises a lot.
5- Clemson always scripts the first two possessions at 8 plays each. What happens if they come out in the first two possesions in 5 wide with 5, 5 star blue chip receivers?

I think it will be a great game! But if push comes to shove, I don't see the TAMU defense standing up to the Clemson offense for 4 quarters. I have it Clemson by 13. TAMU covers

Do you guys even do research before the games, or do you just wing it. First off, Lawrence didn't start this game, Kelly Bryant did. TL only played 3 series. 2nd of all, how many series did Justyn Ross play against Texas A&M last year? He played ONE play last year against them. Etienne and Higgins, both were sophomores. Yes, they are a year older as well as Mond. 3rdly, the comment on Clemson giving up a "whopping 294 yards" as opposed to 200 the tear before? CLEMSON PLAYED 90 PLAYERS and at the end of the game, the defense contained MOSTLY FRESHMEN!!!! Wow, just gonna say, y'all either new researchers or better preparation or both. Clemson covers the spread. A&M brings back THREE starters on defense, NOT what you want going against the National Champions in week 2. Clemson 48 A&M 24. Bank on it.
